Coimbatore: The corporation has said that fine of Rs 5 crore 58 has been levied in Coimbatore district in the last 16 months.

Coronavirus has been gripping people in Coimbatore for the past two years. In this situation, the Tamil Nadu government took various security measures. Violators of state restrictions were fined.

According to the corporation, 5 crore 58 fines have been levied in Coimbatore district in the last 16 months.

Those who did not wear a helmet were fined Rs 200. Shops that did not follow the social gap were fined between Rs 500 and Rs 2,000. Accordingly, a fine of Rs 5.58 crore has been levied on people and shops and companies in Coimbatore district for not complying with the Corona guidelines so far.
